The NFL is set to host a meeting with the owners of the Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins on Wednesday to discuss the team’s ownership and future, league sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
A team spokesperson confirmed to Schefter the meeting was taking place, but did not provide further details.
Titans owner Amy Adams Taylor, who had led the franchise for more than three decades, announced her retirement last week.
She was replaced by former Rams owner Stan Kroenke, who was named chairman of the Titans’ board of directors last month.
A number of Titans players are unhappy with the team, including wide receiver Derrick Henry, who reportedly told NFL Network’s Mike Mayock in April that the team was “running out of gas” after a 6-11 season that saw the team play in the AFC Championship Game.
